We recommend allowing 60-90 minutes to visit Pendon Museum. Most of our exhibits are at a height of 1.4 metres (4ft 6in) above floor level. The view for young people and wheelchair users is restricted. Periscopes and Hop On stools are available at Reception to assist with viewing, please just ask.
The museum is on two floors. The first floor with the Madder Valley Railway and Dartmoor Gallery is fully accessible with an allocated parking space for people with mobility issues and accessible toilet facilities.
The second floor with the Vale Gallery and the small temporary exhibition space, is accessible by a stair lift. Non-motorised wheelchairs may be carried upstairs. If you need assistance, please ask and we will support you in any way that we are able.
It is worth noting that the Vale Gallery is on a ramp. There are fold down benches located in two areas in the Gallery.
It is also worth noting that there is a small step in the temporary exhibition space.
If you would like any further information prior to your visit, please do get in touch on 01865 407365 or at info@pendonmuseum.com and we will try to support your visit in any way we can.
