Many Friends will know the position of the model buildings in the museum setting, but perhaps not the locations of the 'prototype' buildings of which they are copies. This tour takes the viewer around the Vale of White Horse 'stopping' at the location of each building detailed in Friends Place. 

We have provided brief details and a small selection of photographs of each model and its prototype. There is much more about the prototype, the construction of the model, and the finished model on its own page in Friends Place. We provide a links to these pages so that you can take look at the detail where you want to.

The tour starts and finishes at Pendon Museum. It travels west towards Swindon north of the main railway line, then turns south and comes back eastwards through East Hendred.
