Harrow Inn has traded continuously as a public house since the early 1700s under a variety of owners.
The Pendon model was constructed in the mid 1970s and installed in the diorama in 1979.
A feature of this model is very careful detailing. The tandem cycle and the car illustrate the development, around 1930, of personal travel into the countryside. This brought new sources of business to villages compensating in some ways for the steady loss of villagers who moved into towns such as Oxford and Swindon.
