This farm is located in the middle of the hamlet of Badbury. In the 1930s it comprised a farmhouse and yard with buildings that included a granary, barn, stable, and various sheds and stores.

Farm House

Research, measurement and photos: Roye England 1958. Levels surveyed by Bob Pulfer.

Modelled: Roye England/Alan Chapman/Paddy Burridge 1958‑73. As original, even to lone red brick in north stone wall and leaning chimney. Roof has 4375 tiles.

Interior detail: Wooden/glass partition lets light into living room so that original wall clock can be seen. There is a stone flagged floor.

Modifications: The two windows facing walled path to back door have been transposed.

Surroundings: Dairy adjoins house at right angles and, in turn, adjoins the Baker's Arms. Sheds continue at right angles to barn which has been moved sideways. (See note to Baker's Arms) High corrugated iron fence of prototype replaced, with low hedge by H.Fuller. Barn opens onto imaginary rickyard.

Granary - from Ashbury

Research, measurements and photos: Roye England 1953 and 1960s.

Modelled: Martin King 1955 (aged 15). Weatherboarding partly missing as in photograph. Steps outside door should be left lying on the ground since, if standing, they would give entry to rats. In practice, such steps are often observed left in place.

Modifications: Transferred to Badbury Farm Group.

Surroundings: Granary sited at an angle across the turning area in front of cart shed. The grounded van body is typical not authentic. Body is of GWR 4 wheel van built and weathered by Tony Smith. Set in position by Howard Fuller. Junk and clutter at one end by A. Macmillan.
