We are very excited to announce two new modelling courses focusing on vegetation and foliage. These will be tutored by Malcolm Smith, one of our long term volunteers who has a well established career as a professional doll's house modeller (predominantly furniture and carpentry) and has produced work at varying scales currently exhibited at Pendon, including the larger scale room boxes and some of the detailed gardens and landscape in the Vale scene. Participants will learn how to make a variety of vegetables, flowers, plants and foliage in 1:76 scale using materials and techniques practiced at the museum. Each participant will work on their own pieces to take home, and all materials will be provided.
Planned course dates are:
- Saturdays 19th September
- Saturday 26th September
Full details are still being finalised, but tickets priced at £75 per person for a full day course.
