Modelling Workshops

Making locomotive sound realistic

Led by Mick Moignard

DCC Sound takes your locomotives to the next step in realism, and this workshop will equip you with skills and knowledge to make the very best of what DCC Sound has to offer.  We will explore and explain the different types of sound decoders, looking at their pros and cons and take you through the process of effective sound installation.  We'll then explore what's involved in setting up the decoder, the selection of different sounds and effects, and we will look at using the open-source DecoderPro software as an optional aid for this process.  The workshop will offer ample opportunities for intensive discussion and for the 'hands on’ tweaking of locomotive sounds.

The workshop includes a sandwich lunch and unlimited light refreshments during the day.

The fee for this workshop is £95 and Friends of Pendon are entitled to a 10% discount.
